Ajara, an autonomous republic in southwestern Georgia along the Black Sea coast, is a vibrant hub for culture and tourism. Batumi, the capital of Ajara and Georgia's second-largest city, stands out as a modern port city renowned for its unique architecture, dynamic urban landscape, and exquisite wines.

On November 18, 2024, five months after the visa-free agreement between China and Georgia came into effect, Asia’s premier marketing innovator, HooJoo PR, embarked on a cultural journey to Batumi. Invited by the Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara, the tour included Chinese travel experts, acclaimed photographers, and renowned content creators.

A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Ajara State Museum, where the group encountered an extraordinary exhibit: an ivory chess set crafted by Oriental artisans in the late 16th to early 17th century. Each piece in this set is intricately modeled after characters from Chinese mythology, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship and the deep cultural exchanges between East and West throughout history.

HooJoo PR is actively collaborating with the museum to explore the possibility of showcasing this masterpiece in China, aiming to illuminate its historical significance and enhance cultural resonance between the two nations.
